Joel Rothstein, Vice President, IT Technology Strategy & Innovation for Marriott International, Inc., is responsible for the MarriottLabs aiming to produce state of the art digital strategy, research & development to delight our guests, owners and associates.  The resulting products will aim to produce immediate revenue and profits – and have the potential to scale globally to thousands of hotels, hundreds of thousands of associates & millions of guests.

Joel joined Marriott in 2007 in eCommerce Product Development and has held leadership roles on the User Experience and eCommerce teams.  In these roles, he was responsible for the definition and business management of content management, personalization and marketing tools.

Before joining Marriott, Joel was a product manager at Netscape, Snapfish and a technology journalist in the Washington bureau of Reuters.

Joel earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Colgate University, as well as a master of business administration degree from the New York University Stern School of Business and a masters degree from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
