Tim Olson » Chief Digital Officer, KQED
Tim oversees the digital media group for KQED, the PBS and NPR station for the San Francisco Bay Area. The digital division manages all KQED web, mobile and interactive applications.
Tim works closely with Matter, a Silicon Valley accelerator co-founded by KQED and the John S. and James L Knight Foundation. Tim works on a numerous digital initiatives inside public media with organizations including CPB, PBS and NPR.
Tim has been a pioneer in public media’s uses of various Internet technologies including interactive storytelling, locative media, publishing with blog tools, audio and video podcasting and online original content.
Prior to joining KQED, led digital work at KCTS Seattle and WTTW Chicago.
